Four Years in the Printing Industry
We started with a dream to speed up the print process by creating an online printing order system that is accessible to all and makes it easy to get an instant quote, upload your artwork, pay, and track your order. Four times around the sun, an epidemic and tough economic times and we are still here.
Why printing?
So where did Print Crowd start? To answer, I need to go back, way back... As a little boy, my brothers and I had an amazing role model, our Father, Douglas John Williams. My dad started as a lithographer for which he won multiple Printing World Awards, he later moved to the Sales Department. My father late became the Owner and Managing Director of that same company, which was at the time one of the biggest printing companies not just in the Western Cape but in South Africa.
Below is a photo of my father Doug Williams in the '80s doing what he loved most.

1In 2017 I took the leap and decided to work towards my own dreams just as I saw my father do and so 4 years ago today Print Crowd went live. There's a good reason most entrepreneurs will tell you not to do it when you start something new. It's tough, it's stressful and it has been 4 years full of highs and lows, but I don't regret jumping in and hitting the ground running. We learned a lot and will apply what our mistakes taught us to better our service in the years to come!
Dream it, Print it
We continue to build Print Crowd every day and work hard to accomplish our goals by innovating our software constantly. From Business Cards to Banners, Printing 50 or 50 000 you dream it.. we can Print it.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their continued support. Thank you to my suppliers and partners for working with Print Crowd. I would also like to thank my family with me in the above picture, my brothers that are both excelling in the printing industry and push me to better, my mom that is my best friend and for whom nothing is ever too much, and my Dad that is probably having a laugh up in heaven because all his sons ended up following in his footsteps. Thank you to my friends for inspiring me and thank you to my staff for blindingly following me and keeping me on track. I am excited about the future and there are lots of changes coming that we cant wait to share. Thank you in advance for your continued support and for being part of my dream.
Cheers,
Shane
